ANNE WOODHAM came to art after a career in journalism. She grew up in Sydney, then spent over 30 years in London, returning to Australia in 2013.
She is particularly interested in figurative studies of people and their interactions, working in graphite, charcoal, coloured pencil, pen and ink, watercolour and gouache.
Previous series have been based on old family photographs and concerned with the fluidity of memory. Recent works reflect our current unstable times.
She studied at the Slade School and Chelsea College of Art in London and has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Buckinghamshire New University, UK.
In London she exhibited with West London Artists and sold at the Affordable Art Fair, the Watercolour and Drawings Fair, Art London and numerous local art exhibitions.
She was a Guide at Tate Britain and Tate Modern and is now a Volunteer Guide at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
